George Bruce Halsted's Géométrie Rationnelle

Handwritten original manuscript (213 leaves) of Géométrie Rationnelle, the French translation of George Bruce Halsted's Rational Geometry. This translation was probably prepared for the author by Paul Barbarin, the translator of Halsted's second edition of Rational Geometry (Paris: Gauthier-Villars, 1911). There are isolated handwritten notations and corrections in the manuscript. The volume also includes a 5 page biographical pamphlet in Italian written by Prof. C. Alasia; the pamphlet includes a photograph of Halsted. The biography refers to Halsted's election as president to the Mathematics and Astronomy section of the American Association for the Advancement of Science in 1902 and is dated March 1903.
