Asserts nurses' specific contribution to health care by offering a fresh research-based perspective on the giving and receiving of nursing. The model assigns a specific shape to the encounter between nursing and people - as individuals or in groups; in hospital or in the community; well, ill or differently abled; or the same or different cultural heritage. Nursing is depicted as a partnership of experts in which both nurse/s and client, patient or group actively work together to cushion the impact of a health-related experience and to achieve a beneficial outcome.
