Manchester, 1979.Tim is supposed to be studying English but spends most of his time hanging out with what Simone, his girlfriend, describes as his 'disastrous friends.'These include Norman, a freeloading kleptomaniac, William, on his way to becoming Wendy, and a reluctant Sikh called Sage.Simone works as a stripper at a fleapit called 'The Glamour' where her brother is a bouncer.He is mixed up with some drug-dealers and has got on the wrong side of them, leading to Tim, Simone and co. being drawn into an absurd and increasingly perilous situation.Can they get through it?
