Résumé du livre
Memoirs of a French Jewish couple. Robert, an officer in the French army, was detained as a POW in Nürnberg and Edelbach. His wife, Marcelle, and their daughter, both of whom lived in Paris, were arrested in July 1942 on their way to the Free Zone; they were subsequently interned at different times in Beaune-la-Rolande, Drancy, and Pithiviers. They were finally deported to Bergen-Belsen in May 1944. Robert, interned in the meantime in Lübeck, was liberated in 1945 by British troops. He eventually found his wife and daughter in the environs of Berlin, where they had been sent by train (as the family of a POW) and were liberated by the Russians. The family returned to live in Paris.
