Christian Schmucker married Catherine Hesster, and immigrated in 1752 from Switzerland or Germany to America. John Schmucker married Mary Klopenstein, and in 1823 they immigrated from Switzerland to Holmes County, Ohio. Descendants and relatives of the two immigrant families lived in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Florida and elsewhere.
