Research on abusive supervision has long been in the field of researchers among organizational set ups. The engagement on the act of abusive supervision has been found in recent researchers to be caused by several factors, one of this is the psychological make-up of a person. Psychological make-up of a person would include personality, hereditary genes and environment. This study focused on one of several factors aforementioned, personality. It used dark triad personality of supervisors and its relationship on the perception of abusive supervision. The researchers hypothesized that personalities included in the dark triad personality would all have positive relationships with abusive supervision. Survey questionnaires were distributed among 295 superior-subordinate dyads in call centers. The study found that Narcissism, Machiavellianism, and Psychopathy all have positive relationships with perceptions of abusive supervision by subordinates. Theories and implications of the study and direction for future research were presented.
