Andreas (Andrew) Dietlein (1847-1896), son of Johann Dietleinand his second wife Anna Maria Zier, was born in Unterschleichach, Bavaria, Germany. He was married (1) to Cunegunda Greb (1846-1888) also of Unterschleichach, Bavaria. They were parents of eight children. The oldest, Philip, was born 1870 at Unterschleichach, the rest at Perham, Frazee and Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. He married (2) Josepha Greb (1867-1924), the niece of his first wife, in 1888 at Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. She was born at Unterschleich- ach, Bavaria to Adam Greb and Magdalene Barbara Ament. They had three children. Descendants live in Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Arizona, California, Texas, Florida, Colorado and elsewhere.
