In this book Goldsmith makes a distinction between psychological healing and spiritual healing. Psychological healing is primarily an activity of the human mind and the intellect. Spiritual healing is an activity of the soul faculties; it is always performed without mental activity, without the necessity of the physical presence of the patient, and often without his cooperation beyond giving his consent.
