Résumé du livre
An ancient giant, named Pisuktuk by the Eskimos, has roamed the Arctic as a shaman. One day he rescues Leon Vaughan, an Englishman who has crash-landed on the pack ice. When Leon discovers the amazing true identity of the giant, he decides to take him to Britain and seek fame and fortune. But his plans go horribly wrong and lead to a tragic conclusion. The novel is a new, modern take on an old theme, while at the same time it looks at aspects of Eskimo culture, including shamanism, and the problem of the endangered Arctic.
