This is the first of five volumes of the Proceedings of the Third Congress of the European Association for Research and Development in Higher Education, January 2-6, 1979, at the University of Klagenfurt (Austria). This volume contains not only the summaries of 141 scientific contributions concerned with research and development work on issues of higher education, teaching and learning, curriculum and course development, planning and management, information storage and utilisation in higher education, but also an international comparative analysis of earlier EARDHE-congresses and many bibliographical data of this field of study.
