The fairy tales speak about the child's inner pressures in a way the child unconsciously understands...and offers examples of both temporary and permanent solutions to pressing difficulties. [They are] not only a form of literature, but are works of art which are fully comprehensible to the child as no other form of art is. . . . This version of Fairy Tales is written by the author as an ABC story where the first sentence begins with the letter A, and ends with the sentence beginning with the letter Z. The effect of this retelling is not only an innovation but develops for the reader the skill of starting each sentence diffrently and keeping the story in sequence.
