Mosaics in an Afternoon

They may look like professional art, but they're so simple you can do them in one afternoon! Transfer a design, snip tiles or glass into shape, add found objects like shells or buttons, and glue them down. Cover it all with grout, then allow it to set and wipe clean. You've got a completed mosaic - that's all there is to it! Some examples of unique projects to be found in this book: a mirror fashioned out of 'Mother's China'; glass-studded candleholders that reflect firelight beautifully; terracotta flowerpots with stencilled designs and tiles or frames for treasured pictures.
