The ASAS is an Army program to automate the processing and analysis of intelligence data from all sources. The Army pegs the cost to develop, procure, and operate the system over its 20-year-life cycle at about $5 billion. This report evaluates the readiness of the program for funding, the most cost-effective way to improve system capabilities, and whether alternatives are available.
