Résumé du livre

There is nothing more entertaining than to be reminded of the days of your youth, or to learn about the events of your parent's youth. Harold Rubin grew up as one of the "pesky weeds" in a large Jewish family that emigrated to Canada from Russia in 1912. He will take you back, via Cummings Bridge to the farm families of Eastview, via street car to Luna Amusement Park and Britannia Beach, by truck to the early 39th Scout troop camps, by the old Chev 40 to Tesky's eatery and dance hall, and by troop ship to Britain during World War II. Flying Officer Rubin, who was decorated with the Distinguished Flying Cross, served overseas with the Royal Canadian Air Force Bomber Command and proudly writes about Canada's heroic air crews and their experiences overseas. This complication of often amusing memories has won the support of the Ontario Ministry of Culture and Communications and the City of Ottawa Cultural Assistance Program. -- From back cover.
