The Light Across Piney Valley

One morning at dawn, Luke saw a wonderful glowing, golden light. He put on his hiking boots and told his mother he was going to bring her a "glittering golden crown". As he travels to the place where the light was shining, he meets many animals, and each of them has a different idea what the light might be. "It's a bowl of goldfish," says the cat. "It's a crock of yellow butter," says the cow. As they parade toward the light, it disappears, but a wise owl explains what the light really is, and they troop back home to find the light that is shining on their side of the valley.
