Résumé du livre
With facts and figures updated for the 1997-98 school year, Barron's world-famous college directory is actually three information sources in one:
- Profiles of more than 1650 accredited four-year colleges.
- A section on tinted paper, roughly 200 pages long, provides an Index of College Majors, which charts schools according to major fields of study.
- A pair of computer disks pocketed on the inside back cover gives students help in preparing application forms and letters. Disks also give brief profiles of all colleges listed in the book. One disk is for Windows"RM" and the other is for Macintosh"RM" users.
College profiles, arranged alphabetically by state, describe academic programs, admission requirements, average SAT I and ACT scores of incoming freshmen, student body size and make-up, tuition and fees, library and computer facilities, athletic and recreational facilities, campus environment, available financial aid, campus safety and security measures, admissions fax numbers, e-mail addresses, availability of descriptive videocassettes, and more. Additional listings cover selected colleges in Canada, Mexico, and abroad. U.S. schools receive one of Barron's exclusive ratings, ranging from Noncompetitive to Most Competitive.
