Résumé du livre

This research examines and compares the relationships among public policy environments, the adequacy of formal entrepreneurial education, and the survival ratio of entrepreneurial startups. These results offer insight to public policy officials for more efficient direction of incentives for improving the long-term survival rate of entrepreneurial startups rather than boosting entrepreneurial intentions or overall entrepreneurial activity. This original approach also moves the focus of entrepreneurial success metrics toward extending the survival rate of entrepreneurs rather than their associated benefactors with the introduction of a new composite variable, the startup survival ratio, that utilizes existing data in an innovative way as an indicator of longer-term venture survival rates.
