Résumé du livre
"The Constitutional Law Dictionary, Volume 1: Individual Rights was published in early 1985. Significant decisions rendered later than the middle of the 1983-84 term of the Court, plus, of course, those decisions coming since, were not included in the original volume. To remedy the need to keep the Constitutional Law Dictionary: Individual Rights current, this supplement is offered as the Court begins the 1994-95 term. This is the third such supplement we have prepared... As with the two earlier supplements, the same guidelines remain: (1) Chapters 1 and 8 of the original volume, the chapters on "Constitutionalism" and "Legal Words and Phrases" have not been revised. (2) The other six chapters are moved up one chapter number each in the Table of Contents... (3) All 'See Also' page number references are keyed to the original work... (4) Rather than include parts of cases that have been modified since publication of the original volume and the earlier supplements, we have included the entire case representing the matter as it now stands in constitutional law... (5) The citation from the Lawyers Edition is included for every case. (6) Supreme Court justices appointed since the last supplement have been added to Appendix C and Appendix D, which are reproduced in full in this supplement."--from pages vii-viii of Supplement 3.
