Nathaniel Devereaux has the highest grades in the eighth grade. He has won the student of the year award twice now, yet his classmates and some of his teachers belittle him. Why? Because he stutters. His life is miserable, but everything changes when his parents send him to a special school for the gifted that promises to help him with his speech impediment.
