Résumé du livre
"An exhibition by William Hodges Fellow 2012, Gary Freemantle. Drawing inspiration from our southern mirror lakes, Freemantle uses these images to invoke a gentle and meditative mood and at the same time a subtle tension is introduced through his referencing of Rorscharch's psychological ink blot test. Freemantle has eschewed the use of more familiar mediums such as acrylic and oil in favour of naturally occurring materials. Research into the geology of the area and beyond has rewarded him with various natural earth oxides, including vibrant reds from haematite rock, excellent greens from argillite and greywacke and a beautiful blue called vivianite."--Publisher website.
