Résumé du livre

In the review of literature specific to pharmacology of anesthetic agents, there was found to be a lack of a quick and concise handbook for the medications used during anesthesia. Many of the books available are large and cumbersome and would not be easily referenced in the or setting. Given this lack of availability the 1st edition of the book by A. Hampton and D. Prebble was written to include induction agents as well as volatile agents. Seeing that this edition has made a useful reference for the novice Newman University nurse anesthesia student entering the clinical arena, a second edition with anesthetic agents used for maintenance and emergence seemed prudent. This handbook as with the 1st edition will provide a description of the agents using the Pharmacologic Response Cycle designed by A. Hampton, D. Prebble and Dr. C. Lee with modifications for this edition.
