Résumé du livre
Thanksgiving Day, 1621 marked the beginning of a relationship between the settlers and Natives of America. it was a celebration spurred by Natives of American having a heart for the new settlers; reaching out to them, teaching them how to work the land, fish and grow corn. They also shared their food with them during the first winter when their own food supplies ran out.Thanksgiving day, 2007, began a reality of 'freedom from the stallion' of an oppressive government that knew no limits when it came to abuse over the years. On this day, gone would be the days of others dictating the Indian's path that always returned to a restrictive reservation without sovereignty.Deeply entrenched spiritual beings would set the stage for the liberation of a people from a government who claimed, centuries ago, to have discovered, or found a new land already inhabited. A land the government sanctioned the importation of another people to work the land for the sake of wealth. Wealth that required shuffling those in the way, out of the way.The federal government feared a common practice of the Indian called the 'Ghost Dance.' The practice was perceived to be a threat to expansion, wealth and power. They couldn't have been more right.
