Field notes and research notebooks of Crile and Daniel Quiring, professor of comparative anatomy, Western Reserve University, including illustrated research material, lecture notes, dissection photos concerning the anatomy of mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians (particularly the structure of organs and glands), and minor correspondence relating to equipment and the shipping of specimens. The work took place chiefly in Africa, Key West, Fla., and Arizona. Other persons involved were Arthur Fuller, museum taxidermist and Crile's son, Robert Crile.
