James McKim (1767-1814) lived in Winslow, Mass. (now Waterville, Maine). He moved to Washington D.C. and enlisted March 23, 1803 in the Marine Corps. He died from wounds received at the attack on Washington in 1814 by the British. He married Mary Tibbetts (1764-1810), daughter of Nathaniel Tibbetts, in Woolwich, Lincoln Co. (now Sagadahoc Co.), Maine. Descendants live in Massachusetts, Tennessee, Georgia, Texas, Ohio and elsewhere.
