The short stories and poems in this book were compiled by Margaret Baker's daughter, Juliana Sandahl, after Margaret's tragic death in 2001. The proceeds from this book were donated to Programs for Peaceful Living in White Salmon, Washington. Margaret's stories and poems reflect the difficult years she lived during the Great Depression, her mother's mental illness and the trauma of her divorce. In her later poems written after a stroke, she finds joy in a new relationship at a retirement home.
