Each entry is clearly presented, with an initial summary of the works author, artist, publisher, and date of publication, followed by description of its publication history, plot, characters, artistic style, themes, and impact. Entries conclude with a list of further reading and related works. A bibliography and timeline, lists of works arranged by subject, author and artist, and index are provided.
