John Lake (d. ca. 1696) was one of the settlers of Gravesend, Long Island, in 1643. He and his wife, Anne Spicer, had at least six children. His son, William Lake, was living in Cape May, New Jersey, as early as 1690. He and his wife, Sarah, had two sons and three daughters. He died in 1717. Decesdants listed lived in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Illinois, and elsewhere.
