Résumé du livre
The first Chapman Irish anthology to appear in 21 years, and again Hayden Murphy has been asked to present a glimpse into Irish poetry. Using Mary Robinson's time as President of Ireland as his starting point, Hayden chooses this selection from the known and the unknown on both sides of the border. Prefaced by the Irish Consul to Scotland, Daniel Mulhall, the issue offers a mix of Irish poetry seasoned with familiar names such as Seamus Heaney, Brendan Kennelly and Eavan Boland, but also presents for the first time to Chapman readers Peter Fallon, Eva Bourke, Rosemarie Rowley, Gabriel Fitzmaurice and many others. It includes work in Irish Gaelic, English as well as Scottish Gaelic.
