Résumé du livre
A glasshouse experiment conducted to determine the effect of dust on vegetation spectra. Dust from an excavation site at the Nevada Test Site was applied to Larrea tridentata (Creosote) seedlings growing in pots. Leaf-level data, leaf spectra were used with soil spectra from the excavation site to create simulated pixel data for ten percent vegetation cover. Which was then compared with the spectra from undisturbed soil at the excavation site. The results indicate that remote sensing can be used to detect and map dust accumulation in sparsely vegetated areas.
