Résumé du livre
This Project Demonstrating Excellence examines the feelings, attitudes and concerns of African American parents whose children attend schools that are staffed largely by Whites. While much has been written about the needs of urban schools and the students who attend them, there is a paucity of information regarding the attitudes, experiences or concerns of the parents of color, as voiced by them, with regard to their children's education. Whites are being accused of not listening to and not believing people of color (Delpit 21). Indeed, the literature review revealed that there has been very little research conducted by White educators and scholars. the vast majority of the research regarding the education of African American students throughout history has been conducted mainly by African American educators and scholars.
