Miss Lucy's Ghost is about a wealthy diamond broker, Chandler Rivers, who discovers his wife and best friend having an affair. He enlists the aid of a local witch doctor, devises a plan, and arranges their accidental deaths. The local detective, Grady Pruunes, believes that they were murdered. When he begins to close the net, Rivers uses his wealth and clout in the county to halt the investigation. It seems Rivers has escaped prosecution. Then eighteen year old Jamey Hart moves to town and begins to have dreams involving a missionary lady who mentored him before her death. He is frightened, of course, not sure if Miss Lucy is an angel or a ghost, when she provides information to locate a kidnapped boy and prevent the murder of two innocent people. Rivers becomes afraid she might help Jamey uncover his secrets, so he sets his sights on killing him, and he would be successful, if not for Miss Lucy's protection. Add a little romance for Jamey, a small Southern town, some 1060's nostalgia, and there you have it.
