Résumé du livre

The surface active compound from the Bacillus licheniformis strain BS1 was isolated and characterized as lipopeptide type of biosurfactant is a comparatively novel compound and is of recent interest because of its varied applications. The results indicated that it is a potential biosurfactant as it has high surface, interfacial and emulsification properties which are more similar to the surfactin, a potent biosurfactant reported so far. The lipopetide biosurfactant is more superior and comparable to the synthetic surfactants and detergents in its properties and seems to have a good commercial potential as an environmental friendly product.
