Leah Hershberger (1821-1900) was the youngest of the six children of John and Mary (Keller) Hershberger of Ephrata, Lancaster Co., PA. From 1858 to 1891 she received letters from her brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews. This publication includes transcriptions of 95 letters as well as examples of the actual letters with facsimiles of the signatures of the correspondents. During the Civil War, nephews who went off to war wrote from where they were stationed. Included is a family history of the descendants of John (1785-1864) and Mary (Keller) Hershberger (1789-1873).
