Through her natural investigative skills and utter consequences, Kelly discovers some interesting facts about Nelson and the FBI. It doesn't take long before Kelly becomes convinced that Nelson is involved in a National scandal involving the FBI and President Hudson and his wife Helen. To heighten her tenacity, she is suspicious that her kidnapping was much larger than it first appeared. Putting everything on the line, Kelly tracks Nelson down in Washington DC. With the help of her new friend, Pulitzer Prize winning reporter Sandy Hume they crack open not only a National scandal but the involvement of the FBI and Robert Nelson in a series of murders.
