This is the fifteenth bulletin of the series of the Digest of Comments, like the preceding numbers, embodies a more or less complete review of the literature for the calendar year 1919 dealing with the articles included in the two official drug standards of the United States of America, namely, the Pharmacopoeia and the National Formulary. As in previous bulletins of this series, other comments than those having a direct bearing on the two drug standards of the United States of America have been included in an endeavor to reflect the literature which may have an indirect or future value in this connection. With this end in view, the more important articles on food and drug laws, antinarcotic laws, poison laws, drug inspection work, cultivation of medicinal plants, drug markets, synthetic remedies, chemotherapy, antiseptics and disinfectants, biologics, and foreign pharmacopoeias and standards have been reviewed.
