Résumé du livre

This Perspective explores the policy implications of the rise of algorithms and artificial intelligence (AI) in two domains of significant importance and public interest: security and employment. These domains are only a subselection of larger set of affected domains identified by a panel of experts. We drill down on the near-to-medium term trends and implications of AI proliferation in these domains. In brief, we highlight the potential for significant disruption due to AI proliferation on issues of cybersecurity, justice (criminal and civil), and labor market patterns. Our discussion of the future of work also presents a novel framework for thinking about the susceptibility of occupations to automation. The report ends with a set of AI policy recommendations informed by the trends we highlight.
