Résumé du livre
Telegram sent by Wheeler from Hardeeville [a site now located in the South Carolina Counties of Jasper and Beaufort], to Lieutenant General William Joseph Hardee (1815-1873), stating simply that "officer commanding picket at Taylor Plantation reports enemy moving large wagon trains up the Savannah River on Georgia side." Wheeler's intelligence presumably reports the sighting of Union Army troops lead by William Tecumseh Sherman during his move north from Savannah (Georgia) into South Carolina.
