Résumé du livre

In the present study, a cDNA encoding an antigen of the second stage larvae of the ascarid parasitic nematode of dogs, Toxocara canis, was characterized by molecular cloning. This was identified as a 721-bp clone. Sequence analysis revealed an open reading frame encoding a protein of 203 amino acid residues (Mr=21,925). Although Cysteine-rich sequence was found, it was similar to the NC6 motif present in other nematode genes. Sequence data base searches revealed similarities to sequences of core proteins in mammalian proteoglycans. The deduced protein we present here is a new antigenic molecule different from TES-120 and TES-26 molecules reported in T. canis infective larvae. [Authors' abstract].
