R.H. Ramsdell was a merchant, deputy sheriff, and rancher in western Montana. This collection consists of three reminiscent writings, "Cleaning Up Northwest Montana, " about his experiences as a deputy U.S. marshall and deputy sheriff around Tobacco Plains on the board of Montana and British Columbia; "My Experiences with the Canadian Red Coats from the Year 1882 until 1897; " and "The Man Who Taught Theodore Roosevelt All He Knew of the West, " which is about Fred Herrig.
