A Microcomputer-based System for Environmental Modelling

"With the advent of the microcomputer, the development of mathematical models has been supported by software with graphical and data interfaces. The RAISON system has made use of microcomputer technologies such as spreadsheets, geographical information system (G.I.S.) and database. This report summarizes the development in these aspects. It points to a new level of computer simulation, with fast interactive graphical presentation of the results and effective use of database linkage. It can also be used to improve the efficiency in data storage, analysis and archives"--Management Perspective.
