Résumé du livre
"Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition" 2 Thess. 2:3. Except there comes a falling away. It is said that over 85% of college Christians, fall away from the doctrines of God. One of the reason why I believe that this place, can be found in Hosea 4:1-6, "Hear the word of the Lord, ye children of Israel: for the Lord hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land. By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood. Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.Yet let no man strive, nor reprove another: for thy people are as they that strive with the priest. Therefore shalt thou fall in the day, and the prophet also shall fall with thee in the night, and I will destroy thy mother. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children." Unfortunately many high school Christians graduates, are finding themselves ill-prepared to combat the onslaught of false teachings, they are bombarded with during their four years in college, so many of them will stop believing in their creator! Also what is unfortunate is that the church has accepted doctrines that aren't true concerning one's salvation! Two of the doctrines are "Hyper Grace", and "Once saved, Always saved" These are damnable heresies that nominal and ex- believers have been taught to make some of them believe in an unconditional salvation. 2 Timothy 2:15, tells believers to " Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly DIVIDING THE WORD OF TRUTH." Here are some truths spoken to those who have or may fall away: It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age 6 and who have fallen[c] away, to be brought back to repentance. To their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace. Land that drinks in the rain often falling on it and that produces a crop useful to those for whom it is farmed receives the blessing of God. But land that produces thorns and thistles is worthless and is in danger of being cursed. In the end it will be burned. Hebrews 6;4-8. 20 If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them. Of them the proverbs are true: "A dog returns to its vomit," and, "A sow that is washed goes back to her wallowing in the mud." 2Peter 2:20-22.
