Résumé du livre

"The book presents a research overview of various aspects of Shakespeare's works and their reception in Poland and abroad. As a result, independent investigations are presented in unconventional and modern form. Cultural metamorphosis, which took place in Western societies under the influence of new media in the past two decades, included rethinking of so-called "high culture," which for centuries undoubtedly included works of the Elizabethan playwright. Typing the name of Shakespeare in the Internet search engine, you will find that he is as popular as some pop icons. Web pages dedicated to him and his works, created by both Shakespearologists, such as Stanley Wells, Michael Best and Hardy M. Cook, and professional research organizations (Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, International Shakespeare Association, etc.) as well as by Internet-amateurs fascinated by his work, equally refer to Shakespeare. One type of websites dedicated to Shakespeare, mentioning his name or referencing his art, is a blog. Freedom and fantasy can be a priori considered to be associated with Shakespeare, the same is true about the authors of these sketches. The book includes bibliography "Shakespeare on the blog and beyond," including websites, blogs' posts, the internet news sites, magazines, libraries, associations and organizations related to Shakespeare"--Woblink. com, viewed Oct. 21,2015.
