The essays gathered together in this book have as their main purpose the presentation of a holistic understanding of the spirituality of founder of the Society of the Divine Word, Saint Arnold Janssen (1837-1909). They have been chosen with an eye to helping the reader see the spirituality of Arnold Janssen from different perspectives-historical, theological and mystical. In particular, his mystical side helps shift the focus from his piety and work the way he was able to bring everything together at a different level.
