Résumé du livre

The standard method of analyzing fuselage rings has been known for some time to be considerably in error when the rings are flexible, as is usually true of secondary rings in large fuselages. In order to provide a basis for a more accurate analysis, strain measurements were made on a series of circular cylinders with reinforcing rings, subjected to concentrated loads, in which the bending stiffness of the rings was varied systematically over a wide range.
