Bill Griffiths Poetry and Ephemera Collection

Collection consists primarily of poetry chapbooks and translations by and with contributions by Bill Griffiths, ranging in date from 1973 to 2008. The collection includes a large selection of Griffiths' early publications with Writers Forum and his own Pirate Press. Among the materials are Old English and Welsh poetry in modern English translation that he either translated or published. Many of Griffiths' later works of poetry issued through Amra Imprint are also included. The collection thus showcases Griffiths' poetic experimentation as well as his scholarly interest in Anglo-Saxon languages. Some ephemera is also included, such as handwritten and typewritten letters and greeting cards from Griffiths to other poets. A few works by collaborators such as Bob Cobbing, Eric Mottram, P.C. Fencott, Paula Claire and John Porter are also included.
