Résumé du livre

In 2011 a young emperor penguin, whose story would gain worldwide attention, was discovered on New Zealand's Peka Peka Beach. No human (called the ones with strange feathers by the penguin colony) could have known that this young flightless bird had a name: Kaiden. Kaiden's mom was Shebo;his dad, Percy;his teacher, Sharptoe; his best friend, Johnny. Kaiden recovered at the Wellington Zoo, and Joshua Brown was one of hundreds to pay homage to him while Kaiden recuperated. Joshua loved animals, so when he later heard that the penguin became lost within the Southern Ocean, he vowed to take his charter vessel, Cat Meow, and search for him. He found him and nursed him. What began as a rescue mission evolved into a lifelong love between Kaiden and Joshua.
