Résumé du livre
This book is for people who have homosexual urges--they may or may not identify as LGBTQ--but wish they could fall in love with someone of the opposite sex. It tells how one man, Connecticut lawyer David Robinson, did it. It wasn't always easy, but it was his choice. Some people say we have no choice about our sexual orientation (gay, straight, or bisexual). But if we want romance, we must make a choice. We must choose either a male companion or female companion. Do we have that choice? Do we have no choice? Do we have some choice? David had some choice. From ages 14 to 16 (1967 to 1969), he had persistent homosexual urges. He was sexually excited looking at muscular, athletic boys. At 16 he began dating. He had to choose: date a male or female. He chose a female. He always chose a female. He's not saying it was the "right" choice. He's not saying a different choice is the "wrong" choice. He's just saying he had some choice in the matter. David eventually married a woman and is very happy with her. David, now 65, wonders what choice he'd make if he were 16 today. David earned his B.A. in 1974 from George Washington University and J.D. in 1977 from Washington University in St. Louis.
