Résumé du livre
This review draws attention to the absence of standards and criteria for assessing the effects of biotechnology and other innovations on the farmed habitat. As an interim measure, the review compares effects of genetically modified herbicide tolerant cropping with trends in crop production, agronomy and biodiversity during the 20th century using a functional, food-web, approach to biodiversity. Finally, the degree to which up-scaling of effects can be predicted over crop sequences and landscapes is considered in more depth.
