The earliest documented ancestor was, John Haddock, Sr. (b. ca. 1720), who according to 1790 census was living in Pitt County, North Carolina a as planter. He was married to Liscom Hall and they had at least six children. In the early 1800's family members started migrating to Georgia, Kentucky, Missouri, Tennessee and Arkansas.
