Tom Devrick has been in prison for twenty-two years. He returns to the college town where he grew up, thinking to make a brief visit. Instead, an old girlfriend meets him on the street and pulls him into her safe and sequestered world out in the neighboring countryside. There he encounters other former acquaintances as past events begin to reverberate back into their lives. Casualties and survivors from the Counterculture reflect upon their coming twilight years. Maybe there is one last chance at peace and resolution. But are old wrongs ever really resolved? Do we ever leave the past behind? An aging enemy believes in revenge, and seeks it accordingly.
